Five vehicle accident leaves 10 injured in Huntley

Ten people were injured in Huntley on Saturday in Huntley in an accident, the authorities said.

According to officials from the Huntley Fire Protection District, the crash occurred shortly before 4:30 p.m. on Saturday on Route 47 and the Foster Road.

The first crews that arrived found two vehicles that were in a frontal collision, two people in one of them, and three other vehicles that were involved in the crash.

An injured person was brought to the Northwestern Medicine Huntley Hospital and then flown with the helicopter to support the Condell Hospital in Libertyville for treatment. Another was brought to the northwest of Huntley in a serious state and two were brought to the Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin with minor injuries, the fire brigade said.

According to the Fire District, six additional patients were treated on site of paramedics.

Route 47 in Foster was closed for traffic for about four hours, while the authorities examined and clarified the scene. The crash is examined by the Mchenry County Sheriff's Office.
