Motorcyclists killed in the crash at SR 408 in Orange County

Orange County, Fla. – A man who drove a motorcycle along the State Road 408 in Orange County was killed in an accident late Saturday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred at 11:45 p.m. on the SR 408 in Ostbound in Mile 22, east of the Alafaya Trail, said Troopers.

According to an FHP crash report, the motorcyclist-identified man from Orlando, who was identified as a 44-year-old man from Orlando, drove to the east on the outer lane when the bicycle did not negotiate the bike to the left and ran the road to the right. The right side of the motorcycle hit a guardrail, which caused the driver to be thrown out of the bike, the report says.

According to the FHP, the man was declared dead at the crime scene. Soldiers believe that he did not wear a helmet during the crash.

FHP is still investigating.
