Trump says he is not considering running for the third term

US President Donald Trump has denied that he is considering running for a third term of office by the President, a step that experts agree to is prohibited in accordance with the US constitution.

“I will be an eight-year-old president, I will be a two-term president. I always found it very important,” said Trump in an interview that will be broadcast on Sunday.

Trump previously said that he “did not joke” to serve a third or even fourth term as a US president.

He later said his statements should troll the “fake news media”.

His company, the Trump organization, sells “Trump 2028” hats and promotes armchair speculation that he could remain in office after the end of his second term in January 2029.

In the interview that was recorded from his residence in Florida, Trump said that he had many “inquiries” from people who asked him to consider staying in office.

“So many people want me to do it,” said Trump just a few days after celebrating his first 100 days of his second term.

“It is something that, according to my best knowledge, is not allowed to do. I do not know whether this is constitutional that they do not allow them to do it or something else,” said Trump.

He added that “there are many people who sell the 2028 hat”.

“But that's not something I want to do,” he said, listing several Republicans who were able to take his place, including Vice President JD Vance and Foreign Minister Marco Rubio.

“I think there is a lot of time to do something really spectacular,” he added.

The 22nd amendment to the constitution says that “no person should be elected more than twice to the office of president”.

The amendment to the constitution would require two thirds approved approval of both the Senate and the House of Representatives and the approval of three quarters of the governments at the state level at the state level.

However, some Trump supporters say that there is a gap in the constitution that has not been tested in court.

When asked by NBC as to whether someone turned to him with these theories, Trump distracted and replied that “many people are able to be a great supporter”.

During the interview, Trump also rejected criticism of dealing with the economy.

“Look, yes. Everything is okay,” he said, after his tariff plan broke through the international economies and the US economy shrank for the first time in 2022.

“I said this is a transition period. I think we'll make fantastic,” he added.

When asked whether the US economy could continue to shrink, he replied: “Everything can happen. But I think we will have the largest economy in our country's history.”
