6 features that were rumored for the Apple Watch SE 3

Apple is expected to release a brand new Apple Watch SE 3 this year. Since this entry-level smartwatch was originally expected in 2024, we already know several rumored functions that could arrive at this clock in the second half of 2025.

Based on the previous and new leaks and the new in relation to the Apple Watch Series 11 and Apple Watch Ultra 3, you can expect on this watch.

Before Apple presented the Apple Watch Series 9 and the Apple Watch Ultra 2, there was already a rumor that the next Apple Watch SE 3 would have a larger display.

The display analyst Ross Young said in a contribution to X that Apple slightly increases the size of the Apple Watch SE 3 display to 41 mm and 45 mm. This makes sense, since the current display of the Apple Watch Series 6 is now 42 mm and 46 mm.

Better processor

Apple Watch SE 3 will probably contain an S10 processor because Apple will present a brand new S11 chip. With a new processor, Apple Siri could add the opportunity to access health information without connecting to the cloud, a function that is available with the Apple Watch Series 9 or newer devices.

Optimized design

Due to the larger display, the Apple Watch SE 3 of the Apple Watch series 9 could look similar. At this moment it is unclear whether Apple always adds technology to this device. After rumors had shown that Apple had considered this budget device to add a plastic finish, the company remains with an aluminum finish.

5G connectivity

It is rumored that Apple should add a 5G chip to the Apple Watch Series 11 and Ultra 3. In this sense, the company could also add it to Apple Watch SE 3, as it wants to expand this better connectivity to all new watch models.

Health features

The Apple Watch SE is missing EKG, sleep apnea recognition and temperature sensor. As the Apple Watch Series 11 has a blood pressure monitoring, Apple could be ready to add one of these functions to its cheapest clock.

Each of these functions would be a major upgrade for the user base, as they could add better training insights and improved health -related functions.
