Study: Steelers 2025 Draft -Recap (interest rates)

With the NFL design of the Steelers 2025 in the rear -view mirror, I wanted to see how the data from the series kept up and also deliver some snack bars. Here you will find a brief review of the measures of the score and the links by position if you want to check them:

Interest rate rating: Here I have configured a points system for the following important factors: performance of the university, body type, experiences, position, position, level of competition, pro-day visitor figures, preliminary decision meetings and senior/carpenter-Bowl invitations/participation.

Sporty score: Simply 11 combine metrics without wingspan and whether they were in every metric of a player in their position in their position that has been drawn up by the Steelers since 2013.

Here you will find links to the position articles that I make before the disappointment:

This was Omar Khan's third draft as Steelers GM, which is nice to obtain a larger sample size of his tendencies. Let us see how the results developed with the 2025 Steelers Draft class:

A few things should be emphasized compared to previous designs. This year there is less with the sporting results. For the context, 6-of-7 selections of Steelers had sporty results in the last two designs above the Mean, compared to only 3-from 7 in this class 2025. The three players were later boat on the third day. Fewer tests before the draft with every year are a factor, but it is a remarkable shift that will be interesting to monitor the movement.

The average evaluation of interests landed under seven among the 2025 Draft picks and kept Truer with 5 out of 7 Pittsburgh selection in this camp. It was 6-of-7 in 2023 and 2024, while 2022 (in the first year in which I carried out these studies) only had 3 out of 7 above the mean. The Steelers eyed the players from the state of Ohio extensively and twice from this school, together with another school in Iowa.

Hawkeye players were missing the professional daily visitors, but met before the draft with Pittsburgh. Six of the seven latest Steelers also met with the team before the draft. The exception was their final selection. This is the second year in a row in which HC Mike Tomlin and GM Omar Khan were not on their professional day of the first-rounders, with visits to disappointment in recent years.

Many tendencies remained for the Pittsburgh Steelers, but we see some changes with Khan at the top. Let us go into the individuals.

In the first round, Pittsburgh chose Oregon DL Derrick Harmon. His interest rate rating of 9.1 volume in the position, which the Steelers thoroughly acidified several meetings (before the disappointment) combine). Performance, body type and age (21) were other strong grades. Experience and in particular fewer professional visitors (Scout) were two lower scouts. Six sporty, checks the measurement and 40-time box with five DNPs.

The medical concerns occurred late in the process, but the doctors of Pittsburgh cleared him when he visited the disappointment and thankfully added comfort to give him the opportunity to add him later than some. The Steelers continued their success story of taking the potential risk of injury for hopeful rewards among talented players.

The Steelers received a value for several design slots, including Iowa RB Kaleb Johnson in round three, which were projected by many in the second. 8.1 interest rating took ninth place under 2025 RBS. Also had a meeting before disappointment and combination. College Performance, age (21) and Size Fit Contan Pittsburgh Picks in the position. The number of visitors of Pro Days was missing, and the experience was lower scores. Six athletes (five DNPs) who check the measurement and 40 boxes just like Harmon.

Edge was not high on the list of position Needs, but the Steelers took the opportunity to add to Ohio State (projected day two players) in the fourth round. We had no recording of a professional day dinner that DC Teryl Austin found in his post-pick interview.

This comes up with Sawyer's interest of up to 9.5, which is the best of 2025 edges. Pro -day visitor numbers (HC Mike Tomlin, GM Omar Khan and Austin), performance, age (22) and experience are pluses. However, there were no other meetings. Five athletes who check the bank and measurement boxes with six DNPs.

Pittsburgh exchanged in the fifth round and took up an additional seventh round.

Fortunately, it led to a double bath in the defensive interior with Iowas Yahya Black. 7.3 Interest stamp (T-21ST) in a stacked IDL class. Visitors before the design, size, performance, experience and senior bowl were strong grades. A lack of professional daily visitor figures and age (23) were on the other side. Nine athletic: a bank DNP and a new 40-time precedent (5.39). The former Steeler Dan McCullers (2014), another big person, was previously (5.3).

Surprisingly, the state of Ohio State QB wants to fell to Pittsburgh six rounds in round. 11.3 Interest assessment: Best under Steelers Draft Picks, 2025 QBS and T-thirds in the entire design class. Only two perspectives had better interest, the Buckeye RBS Treveyon Henderson and Quinshon Judkins. Both were early in the second round, so unfortunately we will never know whether they would have been the choice of Johnson in the third round.

Howard had the Pro -day visitor number (Tomlin, Khan, Oc Arthur Smith), dinner and combined meeting. Performance, body type and senior bowl were lowest with age (23). Seven Athletic: Three DNPs (40 times, bank). Determine a new three-cone precedent (7.13), barely behind 2013 Pick Landry Jones (7.12).

With their additional seventh rounder, the Steelers went with Washington LB Carson Bruener, the son of the former Steelers TE and the Scout Mark Bruener team. Obviously you know him well and pay attention to him with an interest rate of 6.3 less attention (ninth under LBS). The positive visitor numbers (Bruener), informal combine harvester, size, experience, experience and shrine shell were the Pro Day visitor figures. Age (23) a lower score. Ten athletic, due to a DNP on the bench.

A few tips later Pittsburgh Central Michigan CB/PR DONTE KENT 229, overall. The only non-combined class in the class was a surprise for most and received the second lowest 5.6 interest assessment of Pittsburgh's selection in the four years in which I made the series (2022 QB Chris Oladokun, 4.0).

Kents size and experience fit, during the lack of meetings, performance, age (23), competition level and no all-star game are negative. Eight athletics in complete training that has set new threshold values in the hand size (8 1/2 inches), shuttle (4.38) and three-concrete (7.15). Previously, these numbers were 8 7/8 ”, 4.33 and 7.09.

Reveals the remarkable shift of the sports tests that moves forward. No choice had perfect 11 sports values (four in 2024) or made our Alex Kozora, according to which the Steelers either search (three in 2023 and 2024). A year is not a trend, but I find it remarkable.

Apart from Pittsburgh's last choice, the extent of the competition and the meetings was an issue in this draft. Tomlin/Khan were 3 out of 7 in All-Star games, compared to all seven 2024 selections. For the second time in a row, Tomlin/Khan was not on a professional day of the first round, one of the greatest designs that have shifted under Khan.

Where Pittsburgh stayed at the truest, the threshold values of the past (all seven picks), blood lines, age (especially young people at the top of the draft), experiences, meetings (6-of-7) and 5-of-7 selections with pro-day visitors. The latter has dragged away from the first countries, but is still very important for players who have worn black and gold.

It is not the strongest draft regarding my interests/sporting results, but Pittsburgh found great value in several places to improve their squad on paper in 2025. I can hardly wait to see the newcomers in action and how the scores cut off in the future. I hope you enjoyed the celebrations as much as the Steelers Depot team.

What do you think about Pittsburgh's 2025 design class? What about the interest and sporting results? Thanks for reading and let me know your thoughts in the comments.
