(Hörscheide) The band The Manic Still, based in Los Angeles, has returned with its powerful new single “Bullet Proof” – a song that came together at the speed of impact and intensity. Inspired by an informal challenge, Adam Bones (known for his work with Save Ferris, Richie Ramone, Josie Cotton, the two ten) asked his wife Megan, a true crime -loving and talented writer if she could come in the genre rooted texts. To his surprise, the texts fully written the next day appeared in his inbox.

“I was so excited and inspired by these incredible words that the music just went out – I must have written the music in about five minutes,” he says. Megan later revealed that her texts were loosely based on the shocking true story of Mary Vincent, a survivor of a brutal attack and a permanent symbol of resilience.

After the success of her debut single “Reasons Why”, “Bulletproof” was again recorded and produced by Davey Warsop in Strong Studios. The track contains the dynamic talents of Aixa Vilar (drums) and Michelle Rangel (bass) from the legendary punk band Go Betty Go and adds even more energy and urgency to the strength of the song.

The lively music video for “Bulletproof” was brought to life by Nicolette Vilar, lead singer of Go Betty Go, who also led and designed the project.

“I had seen Nicolette's incredible video work for Go Betty Go and was blown away,” says Bones. “I asked if she would be interested in making a video for us and she had an amazing, colorful and creative vision. We trusted her completely – and she absolutely delivered.”

Vilar says: “It was a pleasure to work with the manic standstill in this very funny music video. The concept came when I heard the choir of the song and knows how big everyone is in the band. I played with the surreal idea of a woman from tiny to tiny to crazy.

Bones adds: “At the time when the video for 'Bulletproof' was designed and shot, we had already set up the core list of Manic Still: Adam Bones, Eddy Hewitt and Brad Dickert. In contrast to the reasons why the video that an ensemble of the musician, the official trio des bulletproof '' '' proud ' Bulletproofs' proudly indicated this, the official trio of the volume for the first time.

“Bulletproof” will appear on the upcoming album of the band, which will later fall over Wiretap Records/Double Helix this year.
