The family celebration in Houston is fatal: 1 killed, 14 injured in shots

The uninvited guest opened the fire at the Houston party, killed one and injured 14 more.

A family celebration in Houston broke out into a mass shooting after an uninvited guest opened the fire after being eliminated, killed one person and injured 14 more. The Houston police received reports on shots at 12:50 p.m. in the 6000 block of Cherry Hill in the southeast of Houston, said deputy boss Patricia Cantu during a takeover.

The officers arrived at the scene a few minutes later and saw several people wounded in a house at different locations, she said, reported CBS News.

The police said that a family meeting was underway when an uninvited guest was asked to leave the house. The person supposedly replied with the opening of fire, which caused others to be due to the deputy boss Cantu.

The Houston fire brigade replied to the scene where at least one person was confirmed dead. Several victims were critically injured and operated on, while other hospitals were transported to nearby hospitals.

“This scene continues,” Cantu told CBS News. “It is still very complicated. It was chaotic from the start.”

The deputy chief Cantu said the police arrested several people, but it was unclear whether the actual shooter was among them when the investigation continued on Sunday morning.
