A six-hour weather delay on Friday put up with the second round in the Saturday morning, which meant that the tea Times was pushed far back in the third round-and the players, including Scheffler, followed daylight until the end of the day.

Despite the challenging conditions, Scheffler was locked up. He has the 544 yard-par-5-18. Distributed in complete darkness and expanded its lead from six to eight shots, which is the largest 54-hole lead since 2011.

After the round, Scheffler admitted that his game was not as sharp as before, but he was still satisfied with the result.

“I did a good job today. I was definitely not as sharp as in the past two days, but overall I have scored a pretty good score,” said Scheffler.

“Via a 72-hole tournament, you will have days or usually at least one day when your swing does not shoot all the cylinders as if it were the first two days.

As for the end in the dark? Scheffler believes that it actually worked in his favor.

“I think even if you end 18 [Sunday] I would have cost me a shot, ”said Scheffler.
