The sprint race on Saturday started under damp conditions, which caused Charles Leclerc from Ferrari to fall in front of the net. Then Polesitter Kimi Antonelli went far at the beginning and fell back to fourth place, with the lead to Oscar Piatri.

Piatri lost the lead at pit stops, and teammate Lando Norris took the lead and won the race, while Piatri finished second and Lewis Hamilton took third place. Behind them was the command a chaos when several drivers were punished, including Alexander Albon, who originally took fourth place, but ended.

Max Verstappen was the last driver who ended the sprint after a mining incident, but he made it out in the qualification and led the top round to take the pole for the Miami Grand Prix on Sunday. Norris, whose first career victory came in this race last year, will begin second place.
