Police: The resident shoots the suspect of the slump in 21st Ave in the leg

A man shot a suspected burglar into the leg in a residential building 21st Ave early Friday morning, says the Seattle police.

According to the SPD and Emergency Radio updates, the police and Seattle Fire were called to the building shortly before 1:30 a.m. on Friday.

Arrivals found the 28-year-old suspect with a gunshot wound on the leg. Seattle Fire treated the man on site and transported him to Harborview with non -life -threatening injuries.

The police said that the resident of the building who opened the fire and his wife was at home with her little child and the suspect “broke through an outer door, tried to enter several units, and finally came to her apartment where he started screaming and kicking the door.”

“According to the victims, the man in the apartment gave out several warnings before the suspect opened the door. The man then shot a shot through the door and hit the suspect in the leg,” reports SPD.
