The Carr of Saints says “people lies” about him and his shoulder injury

Metairie, La. (AP) – The quarterback from Saints, Derek Carr, said publicly for the first time that he had a shoulder injury, but no longer thought about how or when it happened or how it could influence its availability in the coming season.

“I hate that I have to say that, but I have to say the following: Yes, I have a shoulder injury,” said Carr, while on Sunday in a church in Las Vegas I delivered a guest sermon.

“I have an MRI report to prove this,” continued Carr. “The team knows about it. We were in constant communication. It is nothing wrong. We find it out and we'll go on with it. Is that okay?”

“I have to deal with people who lied about me … and I like: 'Lord, why do I have to continue to deal with this nonsense?” Carr continued. “You never know what someone really goes through. And why do we constantly try to attack people – and I would say that attacks people who may try to do things right?”

Carrs sermon occurred two days after the saints in this year's NFL Draft had used their second rounds 40th overall rank to select the Louisville Quarterback Tyler Shough.

The saints chose two days after the club's general manager, Mickey Loomis, and publicly realized that Carr “has a problem” with his shoulder, about which the saints are looking for more “clarity”.

The problem first occurred when NFL.com, citing an anonymous source, reported that Carr may need shoulder surgery that could cause him to miss part or the entire coming season.

The report did not state which shoulder car was injured or how he had injured him. The agent of Carr, Timothy Younger, did not give back several messages from the Associated Press about the matter. And the saints hadn't spoke to it until Wednesday.

Loomis also refused to say when he first learned about the injury or explained his understanding of how it happened.

The car, which is 14-13 in two seasons in two seasons, injured the alternating current connection in 2023 in its litter shoulder, but never missed a game. Carr missed seven games in 2024, but because of slanted and hand injuries.

No problems with Carrs shoulder were mentioned in the saints' injury reports last season, and when he played, he had several final grants for 50 or more yards.

However, when Carr had concluded the third year of his four-year Heiligen Treaty, his long-term future surrounded his long-term future with the club because of a change of coaching, his inconsistent game and his obvious dissatisfaction of the fan.

Carr was signed during the term of the former coach Dennis Allen, who was released last season. The new trainer is the former offensive coordinator of Philadelphia, Kellen Moore, who installs a new crime.
