Amritsar: The Punjab police arrested two suspects in Amritsar because he was supposedly expressed for Pakistan. The two accused, who were identified as Palak Sher Masih and Suraj Masih, were allegedly involved in publishing sensitive information and photographs of the army and air base in Amritsren after Pakistani intelligence companies. The security authorities and the Punjab police are now questioning the accused to determine the extent of the information that the accused pass on to their handler based in Pakistan. The investigative agencies also try to determine information about those involved in the espionage against India.

The rural Amritsar Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Maninder Singh, while he spoke to the Ani news agency, said: “Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann and DGP Gaurav Yadav have given instructions that we immediately stopped in the operations of Sher-Masih and Suraj-Masih and Suraj-Masih, which were about them and Pakistan massihes and Suraj-Masih, which are evident with Pakistan's surgery and Suraj nations.

“They had another partner, Harpreet, who brought them into contact with the ISI and we will bring him from the Amritar prison for a production command. An NDPS case has already been registered against him,” added the SSP.

According to SSP Maninder Singh, the accused received 5,000 rupees for small information and 10,000 RS for more sensitive information on military movements. He also explained: “After the first examination, they received 5,000 RS for small information and 10,000 RS for more sensitive information about movement or something else.” The defendant was also involved in grasping heroine shipments from the border, and their role in the narcotics trade is examined.

The police restored a large amount of weapons and RDX from the accused. SSP Singh said: “We recovered a lot of weapons and RDX.” The restoration of explosives and weapons indicates that the defendant was involved in more serious activities than just espionage.

The police reveal the ISI connection

The police examined the matter and a FIR was registered as part of the relevant sections and the examination was initiated. The high -ranking police officer added: “We have registered a FIR number 92 in accordance with the official Secret Act and the Information Technology Act and strongly examine the matter.”

According to the police, the accused had a partner who was identified as a Harpreet who brought them into contact with the ISI. The police officer said: “You had another partner, Harpreet, who brought you in contact with ISI and we will bring him from the Amritsar prison for a production command. An NDPs case was already registered against him.”

The arrests come at a time when the tensions between India and Pakistan escalate. Pahalgam's terrorist attack on April 22, in which 26 people were killed, has led to a strong reaction from the Indian government. The cabinet committee for security (CCS) met on April 23 and was informed in detail about the terrorist attack.

The government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave the armed forces the complete operational freedom to decide on the mode, the goals and time of the reaction of India. The government has also announced a number of measures, including the Indus water contract in Abeyance in order to send Pakistan a strong message to support cross-border terrorism.

The arrests of Palak Sher Masih and Suraj Masih are a big breakthrough in the fight against espionage and terrorism. The quick action of the Punjab police has thwarted the defendant's plans to lead sensitive information to Pakistani intelligence agents. The examination has not yet been completed and the police are working on identifying all other suspects involved in spy.
