Cleveland (AP) – Kenny Atkinson has a simple message for his Cleveland Cavaliers, who go to their semi -finals of the Eastern Conference against the Indiana Pacers.

The top cavaliers had the top offensive of the NBA with an average of 121.9 points in the regular season. The Pacers with fourth seeds scored an average of 117.4 points (seventh best), but have one of the fastest team in the league and like to go full throttle.

“We have sportiness and speed, it is just the initial shock that they make it so consistent,” said Atkinson. “I give (coach) Rick Carlisle and her group so much recognition because it plays in your staff. The message to our boys is, how resilient we can be with our running. We do it three times, you will do four. Can we do it longer?”

The Matchup that everyone will observe when the series takes place on Sunday evening in the Rocket Arena between Indiana's Tyrese Haliburton and Donovan Mitchell from Cleveland.

Haliburton, who scored an average of 17.6 points against Milwaukee, achieves an average of the best 11.6 assists per game that runs the five out-out outs from Pacers. He was also the first Indiana player in 11 years to start a playoff series with four direct double double.

“He is a talented player. Since the All-Star break, he has an average of 20 points and 11 templates,” said Mitchell. “I have a lot of respect for him and what he brings there. “You are the best team in the east for one reason,” said Haliburton. “They have a lot of depth. They shoot the ball well, defend at a high level, they have marginal protection, they have everything. We are happy to compete against these boys, and there is no lot of film – they all have their boys and all of our boys.”

Both teams had time to prepare for a long series. Cleveland ended Miami in four games on Monday evening, while Indiana's series against Milwaukee was completed on Tuesday.

The starting guard Andrew Nembhard, one of the top defenders of the Pacers, believes that the additional time will benefit the Pacers because they have avoided another physical fight on the street.

“It is definitely a big advantage, we don't have to go to Milwaukee and play 6,” he said. “We are better when we are rested.”

Girland's status

Cleveland's Darius Garland will be a decision for games because he continues to deal with a gnawing big toe injury. The All-Star Guard, who missed the last two games of the regular season and then the games 3 and 4 of the Miami series after the deterioration of the injury, did not practice on Saturday, but had a strong workload and completed a full session on Friday.

Atkinson said Garland probably has to deal with the injury to the rest of the playoffs.

“The toe is a difficult one,” said Atkinson. “There is pain and it all. But the good thing when we see him shoot it, it moves well.”
