Older woman in Bengaluru jumps to death | Bengaluru News

Bengaluru: A 70-year-old woman jumped from the third floor of a residential building in Rajiv Gandhi Nagar, HSR layout early on Sunday morning. The deceased, who was identified as Vijayalakshmi, lived with her daughter-in-law and her grandchildren after the loss of one of her sons during the Covid 19 pandemic.
After preliminary investigations, the incident occurred around 4 a.m. and was discovered when a authoric sheep driver noticed her body on the street. The HSR layout police were alerted around 4.30 a.m. and immediately reached the place.
A senior officer said Vijayalakshmi was a housewife who lost her husband a few years ago. The couple had four children – two sons and two daughters. A son died years ago while another died during the Covid 19 pandemic. Since these losses, Vijayalakshmi has reportedly desperately desperately and had age -related health problems.
“No death note was found in her residence. She jumped from the building of her relatives opposite her house,” said the official.
