Trump does not know whether people are entitled to a proper procedure in us – DW – 05/04/2025

US President Donald Trump said he did not know whether American citizens and non -citizens equally earn the proper process of the law.

During an interview with NBC News, Trump was urged whether the people in the USA are entitled to a proper process.

“I don't know. I'm not, I'm not a lawyer. I don't know,” said Trump.

Later in the same interview, Trump also said that he did not know whether he had to maintain the US constitution.

A gait member, who is deported wrongly, claims Trump

Trump insisted that aggressive movements for deporting migrants without papers are necessary, even though they aroused widespread criticism. However, some of them were deported without a trial in which they discussed their case.

A case that made the headlines across the country was that of Kilmar Abrego Garcia. Despite the Salvadorical man who lived legally in Maryland, he was mistakenly deported to El Salvador and locked up in a notorious prison in the country.

When Trump spoke about the case and claimed that Abrego Garcia was part of a gang without providing evidence.

The US Supreme Court decided that the country had to work to return Abego Garcia to the United States.

Not a third term in office

Trump also excluded a third term, although he previously pointed out that he could strive for a re -election and said that “there are methods” to allow this.

The US constitution clearly states that no person can be elected for more than two office hours as a US president, whereby the country's founding document in houses and congress and ratification is changed by at least 38 of the 50 US state laws.

“It's nothing I want to do,” said Trump.
