Trump about the use of military violence says “I don't see it with Canada”, but “something could happen with Greenland”.

President Trump said he would speak to him Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney via Canada to the 51st state. But the president said he did not expect to use the meaning of the use of military violence – although he would not commit himself to Greenland.

“Something could happen with Greenland, I will be honest,” said Trump in an interview with NBC News' “Meet the Press”, which was broadcast on Sunday. He said that “we need this for national and international security”, but he added: “I don't see it with Canada. I just don't see it.”

Mr. Trump has repeatedly sworn Secure the US control via GreenlandA semi -autonomic territory of the Kingdom of Denmark, and also threatens to make Canada the 51st state. And last week, the territorial threats of the President against Canada in connection with his tariffs seemed to play a role in a great political turn for the Liberal Party of Canada in the national elections.

After his victory, the president spoke to Carney, but the men said they hadn't talked about making Canada the 51st state. When asked if he would do this if the leaders speak next, Mr. Trump said: “I will always talk about it.”

Mr. Trump outlined his argument and claimed that “we subsidize Canada in the amount of $ 200 billion a year” and argue that “we don't need anything you have”. He said, “If Canada were a state, it wouldn't cost us.”

The president said it was an “valued state” while he was pressing that North America was “beautiful” without the US Canadian border running through it.

“When I look down on it without this artificial line that was pulled with a ruler many years ago – it was just an artificial line, it goes through – they don't even recognize what a beautiful country it would be,” said Trump. “It would be great.”

As for Greenland, the president said when he was asked to clarify whether he excludes military violence in the field that “I don't exclude it, I don't say that I will do it, but I don't rule anything, no – not there.”

“We need Greenland very urgently,” he added. “Greenland is a very small amount of people we take care of and we will appreciate you and all of this, but we need it for international security.”

Greenland between the United States, Russia and Europe is located as a strategic position for both economic and defense purposes, whereby the melting sea ice opens new shipping routes through the Arctic. The Prime Minister of Greenland has withdrawn strongly against Mr. Trump's threats and said in March that “we are not for sale and cannot simply be taken”.

In the far -reaching hourly interview with “Meet the Press”, Mr. Trump waffled whether he believes that he has to “maintain the constitution”.

“I don't know. I have to answer by having to say again that I have brilliant lawyers who work for myself and they obviously follow what the Supreme Court said,” Trump said about a proper procedure for immigrants who were sent to a prison in El Salvador.
