Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have been together for almost two years. This is long enough for someone (basically) ask when Travis pull out a ring and ask the question. Are you engaged? Are you secretly engaged? Or is that just a romance in the slow level?

Plans for commitment? What plans?

In February 2024, a source Weekly informed us that Travis and Taylor are completely on the same side over the next step. But here is: you are currently living your best “private life” and love it every moment. The insider said Taylor, after Taylor had ended their Eras tour and Travis his NFL season (we are real, still not over the Super Bowl loss of the chiefs), simply enjoy their time together, free from chaos.

“It was a dream for her not to do anything at all,” said the source. To be honest, sounds like the dream.

And for Travis he is ready to take things slower after the hectic schedule of the past year. According to an insider, Travis really wants to steal the headlines a great NFL season 2025/2026 and not his relationship with Taylor. After all, it is not always a good thing to learn on the hard tour that too much attention is not always a good thing. He focuses more on his game than on a wedding game.

The Ring Countdown: Ready or not?

Things get a little more interesting when we look into what happens behind the scenes. According to Life & Style in April 2024, Travis seems to be very striving to accelerate things. So much so that he reported that he was totally for children before a wedding. Talk about wasting no time! Apparently Travis' “fatherly instincts” are exaggerated when he hangs around with his nieces, and his inner circle has continued and went on how he would be a fantastic father. This is cute … but will there be a wedding first? We are waiting for this update.

The gossip bar proposal: From reference to rejections

December 2023- page Six reported that Travis Taylor's father Scott Swift had asked that his blessing was proposed. So … how did it work? Well, according to her source, Scott said yes (he seems to be in the idea), and Travis had already spoken to his buddies about rings.

January 2024 – Rumor mill became wild by word from side that Taylors Camp buzzed over a engagement planned for the summer. Apparently Travis just didn't want to hurry down and decided from Valentine's Day before the proposal (because that would be too predictable). Instead, the couple supposedly planned to get engaged to his one -year anniversary in July. Sure, sure … we'll take a look at.

May 2024 – The sources of Entertainment Tonight sang a different melody and said that things between Taylor and Travis looked fantastic and that an engagement could “happen sooner”. Ah, the classic “Someay Soon” engagement tease.

May 2024 (again) – but only days later Us Weekly dropped a bomb: Travis has no plans for a proposal shortly. Apparently the marriage takes something into which he takes very seriously and would never penetrate. Well, the confusion has certainly cleaned up! Or does it have it?

August 2024 – Page six could not resist another engagement update and said it “happened soon”. But of course Travis quickly denied repetitions that there were official plans. I have to love that back and forth!

September 2024 – Us Weekly reported that Taylor and Travis definitely see the marriage in their future and want both children. One source added: “Taylor has always been enthusiastic about the marriage … she had found one until now.”

October 2024 – The buzz escalated with reports that “a countdown” for the commitment had started. No pressure, boys.

December 2024 – Almost striker, and US Weekly is back with two sources: one said that they “like to be committed”, but they would not hurry while another pointed out that Taylor “wants it to be forever”. Apparently the proposal is not a moment in the pan. Wise choice.

Mums thoughts & super bowl press conference drama

It would not be a celebrity relationship without a moment in mother, right? Travis' mother, Donna Kelce, was asked by CNN about the possible engagement, and like every good mother she kept it cold:

“It's totally up to you as long as you are happy,” she said. “We don't know anything right now. I am sure he would call me and tell me if something big happens, but I haven't heard yet.”

Translation: No insider information from Mama ….

But don't forget that Travis' Chiefs teammate Harrison Butker, who hadn't held back when he was asked about the couple's future. He immediately said: “I hope you get married and found a family.” He is probably already practicing his best speech.

The press conference heard around the world

And who could forget the legendary moment during a super bowl press conference when a reporter tried to stir the pot with a large, brave question:

“If you win the Super Bowl, there will be another ring? You know … except the Super Bowl One?”

Travis, always the professional, did not shrug. With a smile and a perfectly time -controlled break, he replied: “I concentrate on getting this ring, and that's all my mind is currently concentrated.”

Cue the collective sigh of fans, who please only want some clarity. But to be honest, is that so difficult to respect? Let us concentrate the man on it first.
