Hamilton County Sheriff identifies the retired MPs and killed on duty

Cincinnati (WKRC) – Hamilton County Sheriff Charmaine McGuffey identified and killed the retired deputy on Friday while working in a traffic detail for a UC final celebration.

He was identified as Larry Henderson. He retired last year, but still served as a special deputy.

The driver, identified by the police as a 38-year-old Rodney Junior, appeared on Saturday morning and was charged with severe murder. He is accused of deliberately hit Henderson, not long after Body Cam Video was released when Hinton's son was shot by a police officer in Cincinnati during a stolen car investigation. The 18 -year -old Ryan Hinton died of his injuries.

McGuffey said Henderson was a deputy for 33 years.

Henderson worked in several specialized units, including academy instructors, Dive team member, FBI Task Force Officer and the Bomb Unit.

The sheriff's office says that Henderson's badge number 129 will be retired.

According to the Sheriff's office, the funeral agreements will be shared in the near future.
