An injury could bypass Ravens Draft Pick to the training camp

It is expected that a shoulder injury Raven's rookie offensive -Line -lineman Emery Jones Jr. until the training camp second coach will fill up, said coach John Harbaugh on Sunday.

Jones, a choice in the third round, which played offensive at the LSU, but was able to switch to the guards in Baltimore, was limited to observing the Ravens offensive during the rookie-minicamp training on Sunday. Harbaugh said that he would probably miss the organized team activities that will start at the end of May, and the mandatory minicamp, which runs from June 17th to 19th.

The training camp usually opens at the end of July. Harbaugh said the ravens would feel comfortable until Jones, who could challenge a starting job as a newcomer, were “totally ready”.

“It will be a while,” said Harbaugh. “I don't think it will tidy up now. You will probably see the training camp, maybe earlier, but we just have to see how it works. He will not practice in the near future.”

Jones made 36 starts at the LSU for over three years and was only one game in October 2023 due to a bricked up ankle. After training on Sunday, he was not made available.

Jones is one of four offensive linemen who have added the Ravens since the design. On Saturday, the team agreed to a one -year contract with Swing Tackle Joe Notboom, which Harbaugh described as a “really big obligation for us”. The 29 -year -old Noteboom played mainly for the Los Angeles Rams and started a total of 35 games in seven seasons, but he also has experience in the right tackle and the guard.

The Ravens were on the market for a versatile offensive lineman after lost Patrick Mekari and Backup -Tackle Josh Jones in the Free Agency.

“Joseph Notboom here – an experienced, talented type who played both sides – really concentrating so much for us as a swing tackle.

Harbaugh also said that the Pro Bowl Wide Receiver Zay Flowers avoided surgery on the injured right knee and threw it out of the Ravens playoff last season. Harbaugh said at the press conference at the end of the team in January that the Ravens had not determined whether flowers need an operation.

“Actually, he danced a little dance last week in the weight room and said that he felt great, his back of his knee,” said Harbaugh. “He did it with rehab.”

  • Malaki Starks in the first round broke the team of the team after training, which Harbaugh said, “is not easy to do her first time.” Starks, the first security in the draft, said Harbaugh, “I thrown myself with it, but it was an honor and I don't take it easy. I'm glad I had to do it, and hopefully I can do it again.”
  • Dayton Wade, a former Free Free Agent who spent his rookie season in the Ravens training team, had several impressive catches on Sunday. He joined a handful of other veterans in the Roster bubble of the Ravens, who took part in practice.
