Lamar County, Miss. (WDAM) – A section of the West Fourth Street in Lamar Countify was blocked for about 90 minutes on Sunday after the vehicle had hit a house and broke a gas line.

Danny Rigel, Sheriff of Lamar County, said on Sunday afternoon that the gas leak had been remedied and that West Fourth Street had been reopened.

The accident occurred on Sunday around 2 p.m. when a vehicle took place on West Fourth Street and hit a house near Rhodes Drive.

Rigel said two people in the house were taken to a local hospital, both with non -life -threatening injuries.

A woman in the house had been hit by “little ruins” when the vehicle hit the house.

Rigel said that the driver of the vehicle was taken into custody after he had been charged with “several offenses” at the crime scene.

It was not clear whether one of these offenses was directly connected to the accident.

Overall, first aiders had the scene under control and were clarified in about two hours.
