Padres' Fernando Tatis thought that after the last injury he was on the road for the season

Fernando Tatis Jr. believed that his season was over after starting on Friday by Pittsburgh Pirates, the Pitcher Michael Kellers 93 miles per hour with 93 miles per hour.

“When I was hit yesterday, I thought I was probably out of the season,” Tatis said to the Kevin Acee of San Diego Union-Tribune. “You know, you see a ball that grows only on your forearm, it is not fun. But the training staff are shouting a great job to keep myself on the field and find the way, not to make excuses and simply carry out.”

Tatis Jr. left the 9: 4 victory of the San Diego Padres over the pirates in the third inning after being beaten off the field. After the evaluation of coaches, Tatis Jr.'s X -rays found that he had suffered a blue spot.

Acee also reported that Tatis Jr. suffered a hematoma that was created by a banged blood vessel and caused the swelling on his arm.

Fortunately for the Padres, the injury was not serious enough to put Tatis Jr. on the injured list. The all-star Right Fallder started in the second game of the series against Pittsburgh for San Diego and recorded a run and a hit.

The Padres already have several important players on the injured list, including the all-star center field player Jackson Merrill. The 22-year-old approaches the end of his recovery and will start a rehab order at Double-A San Antonio on Saturday.

It would have been a big disadvantage for the Padres to miss both Tatis Jr. and Merrill in the outer field.

The San Diego fans were in the last game of the Padres' series against athletics on April 9th. On the same day, the Padres Merrill put on the injured list (April 8), both Tatis Jr. and the second Baseman Jake Croneworth injured the game early.

The next day, Outfielders Oscar Gonzalez and Brandon Lockridge Tatis Jr. and Merrill replaced.

Although the Padres achieved a 2-1 win, Merrill and Fernando Tatis Jr. are decisive in the line-up, since San Diego is looking for a further shot on a World Series title.
