Trump, 78, also said that the “essentially enlarged and rebuilt” prison “would serve as a symbol of law, order and justice.

But the logistics behind the presidential order is thorner.

The island is now a large tourist attraction that is operated by the National Park Service and attracts thousands of visitors every year. It is also a proven national landmark.

Alcatraz was originally closed because its infrastructure collapsed and it was too expensive to continue running – in view of all food, supplies and other necessities, the boat had to be delivered.

The facility was operated as a large federal authority center between 1934 and 1963 and was almost inevitable because the island was surrounded by strong currents and ice -cold water. The most famous prisoners were Al Capone and George “machine gun” Kelly.

Trump said in his social media post that the country did not “criminals, rackets and judges who are afraid to do their work and allow us to remove criminals that came into our country illegally.”
