Young boys who were killed on Sunday afternoon, says the police from Durham :: wral.com

A teenager is dead in Durham after a shoot on Sunday afternoon.

According to the Durham police authority, the officers responded to a report on a shootout around 1:05 p.m. on Sunday at the 300 Block of North Holman Street, directly at the North Alston Avenue.

The teenager was taken to a nearby hospital by a private car. Where police officers said he died shortly after his arrival.

Christian Williams, who said the victim was his cousin, said Wral News that he and the victim grew up like brothers, and their families were “intertwined”.

“I remember when he was born,” said Williams. “I will miss him very much, but it was fun to be nearby.”

The Durham police said the investigation was not yet complete and they determine the circumstances behind the shootout and added that the shootout was an isolated incident. For Terricka Williams, Christian's mother, the loss of her family member is not fully installed.

“It's just sad,” she said. “Nobody ever wants to have something like this. It's heartbreaking.”
