The surveillance video shows confrontation that caused the police to shoot the man during a domestic call

A domestic call to disruption was fatal on Sunday morning after a chaotic encounter between the police and a man who was identified as a 39-year-old Michael Wright.

According to the Jacksonville's office, the patrols were sent to the Normandy Boulevard shortly before 11 a.m. to help a woman leave an abusive relationship.

The authorities said Wright had behaved irregularly in the days before the incident. When his girlfriend returned to her mobile home to collect her things, the police said that Wright had attacked her. Officers helped her to take off when the confrontation took place.

The surveillance video obtained from a neighbor shows that the police car arrives at the scene, the Wright immediately confronts and begins to beat.

The officer is then accelerated, ram into another vehicle, then reversed and rests forward again. The car beats Wright as he approaches and brings it into the air.

The officer then left the vehicle with a pulled weapon and screamed Wright to “lay down” it. They said Wright was turned to the officer with an object in hand.

Wright can then be seen how he rushes to the officer who answers with four shots.

Neighboring Action News Jax spoke about the expression concerns about dealing with the situation.

“But how can he de -escalate the situation? You have Taser, but you shot him, man …”, said Craig Johnson.

Another person nearby, Alexi Ubilla, said he was a good neighbor.

Johnson expressed his discomfort after the shootout:

“I don't feel safe. The police have just killed a man in which I stay.”

The investigators later recaptured a few scissors under the officer's car. According to the police, Wright also sent his girlfriend that day and said he died.
