Sedgwick County patrol car, which was involved with a crash and reacts to stolen vehicle call; MPs looking for suspects

Wichita, Kan. (Kwch) – A Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office Patrol vehicle was involved in a crash on Sunday evening when he was directed to an official.

On Sunday evening around 7:45 a.m., a Sheriff deputy of the Sedgwick County was at the intersection of 47th and Broadway in Wichita on a McDonald's when the MP noticed a stolen vehicle in the passage. When the MP tried to stop the suspect by driving the stolen vehicle, the driver rammed the patron's patrol car.

A spokesman for the Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office says that the incident disabled the patrol car and an official was called in difficulties.

The suspect left the McDonald's while he was still in the stolen vehicle in the 47th St.

At the same time, another member of the Sheriff's Office drove to 47th to the west to help the official to call the official.

When the deputy arrived at the intersection of 47th and hydraulics, the deputy collided with a vehicle that was not related to the incident. Five people were in the vehicle that was hit, including three children.

All five had minor injuries and the deputy had no injuries.

In the meantime, the spokeswoman for Sheriff's Office said that the suspect had put a female passenger in the vehicle from the stolen vehicle in 44th and Pattie and added that she worked with the examination.

The suspect then stole a truck and the MPs began to pursue the suspect near OJ Watson Park again. The suspect left the second stolen vehicle and fled from the scene on foot.

At this point, the MPs of Sedgwick County are still looking for the suspect.
