Tribal party mla recorded red-handed

Jaikrishn Patel, a legislative member of the Bharat Adivasi Party (BAP), was arrested by the Rajasthan (ACB) anti-corruption office on Sunday, while he allegedly accepted a 20-pound bursting allowance in his official Jaipur residence.

Ravi Prakash Meharda, General Director of ACB, said that Patel had been monitored since April 4 after the min owner Ravindra Singh had accused him of extortion. A trap was laid, which led to Patel's arrest – the first instance of a session MLA in Rajasthan, which is caught when receiving a bribe.

According to reports, the MLA 10 Crore called for three questions provided for the legislative period to ask mining. After the negotiations, the deal was 2 crore. Singh had previously paid 1 Lakh in Banswara. The second episode was delivered on Sunday, which led to the arrest.

ACB revealed that Patels adjutant accepted the money and took it to him. The employee fled the money. While the money is missing, forensic evidence, including traces of color and audiovisual recordings, confirms the bribery.

Patel, who was chosen in the circumvention of Bagidora in 2024 with congress backing, is intensively subject. The BAP, an up -and -coming, tribe -centered party, described the arrest as “political setup”, which suggests a conspiracy to cloud its image.

In the meantime, the Interior Minister Jawahar Singham confirmed the government's attitude towards corruption and declared that no party or person lies the accountability.
