Ms., daughter of the late Sgt. Bill Hooser speaks one year after his death

It has been almost a year since the death of SGT. Bill Hooser. His family and community ensure that he will not forget.

“We bind blue ligaments in memory of Bill in Santaquin,” said Arta Hooser, Bill's wife.

Blue bands lined the streets of Santaquin in tribute to Sgt. Bill Hooser – a husband, a father and a hero for many.

“It means a lot. I think that my father was not only our hero. He was so many other heroine,” said Courtney Jones, Bill's daughter.

A little said they still feel the love of the community, even a year later.

“I couldn't do that without all the support of friends and family,” said somehow.

Bill's legacy lives through those who knew him best. His daughter remembers him as more than one hero, but of the best “girl's father”.

“He would have facial masks made to him, make his nails with a clear coat. He really did everything,” said Jones.

A year may have passed, but grief is still real, as is love.

“I have so much that I can say about Bill, but I only feel blessed that I had 32 years with him and I miss him so much,” said somehow.

“His laugh, his constant presence, his advice. It is already missing, so it's definitely an emptiness. It is difficult, but we live through him and he lives through us and we only try to remember the man and the talent and life that he was, and he honors him in any way we can,” said Jones.
