Us Monastir, Kriol-Star Petro de Luanda in Bal Playoffs will appear on the last day of the Nagelbauer Sahara conference

Dakar, Senegal-Die Sahara conference on Sunday evening from the basketball Africa League with a defeat of 77-68 against Tunesias US monastir, who sealed her place in Angola's playoffs against Angola and Cape Verdes Kriol-Stars.

Petro used to secure her Playoff-Platz despite a 71: 69 defeat against Kriol-Star. Last month, Al Ittihad and Rivers Hoopers qualified as the two best teams at the Kalahari conference in Rabat.

Dakar knew that they needed a victory to qualify for the playoffs while a defeat would eliminate them. The Sharpshooting Point Guard will certainly have the mandate and had a strong first quarter with 10 points, but Osiris Eldridge had 10 points in the same quarter for Monastir to ensure that the Tunisian team was led by 16-15 by the end.

Monastir started the second quarter with a 13: 2 run. Makhtar Gueye had a strong quarter and scored three three in so many minutes, and he kept ASCVD in battle when they went half -time with 38: 32.

The third quarter was a relatively even competition, whereby the teams, who act from Summer to Summer and Monastir, maintain a lead of 53-46 into the last quarter.

The hosts came closer in the early stages of the fourth quarter and with 5:56 on the left a Perry Layup reduced the deficit to 60-56. However, Babacar Sané led an 8-1 run for Monastir and sled down the fans of the team of his home country.

Sané recognized the pain of the home fans after the game and said: “I wish [ASCVD] Qualified, but playing against them was difficult.

“I couldn't do anything other than help Monastir because they signed me to help me qualify me, and I have the feeling that I will be in business.”

There was no way back from there for ASCVD and despite Perry's 20 points and Gueyes 18 they were exceeded by a better rotated squad under the direction of Eldridge 22.

Despite the signing of Star players such as Perry, Gueye, Ater Majok, Devine Eke and Abdoulaye Harouna, ASCVD were incoheringly related throughout the tournament.

Despite his excellent season for Nigeria Rivers Hoopers last year and subsequent NBA Summer League and G League booths, Ekee saw only limited minutes on the floor during the entire tournament under ASCVD trainer Libasse Faye Faye. Harouna did not go to the ground at all in the game on Sunday game, even though he played a key role at the beginning of the conference.

As a result of the late result on Sunday, Monastir landed the Sahara conference with Petro Second, Kriol Star third and ASCVD Bottom. The two best qualified in the three conferences, together with the two best third -placed teams.

Kriol Star has a better record than FUS Rabat, which took third place at the Kalahari conference and thus guaranteed a playoff place.

FUS can still qualify for the playoffs (June 6th to 14th) if you have a better record than the third-placed team of the Kigalis Nile conference, which takes place from May 17th to 25th.

The BAL is broadcast on the ESPN channels in Africa (Supersport 218 and 219, Starsat 248 and Local Partner).
