The Boston Red Sox have a large hole for filling at the first base after Triston Casas had gone with a knee injury on Friday evening. It was later diagnosed as a broken patella tendon, a diagnosis that ended the Casas season.

While the Red Sox will rely on internal options at short notice, a large squad train has to be undertaken to fill the first basis for the rest of the season.

The Washington Nationals' first Baseman, Nathaniel Lowe, would be well suited to the Red Sox this season.

Lowe joined six homes and 27 RBI .252 on Sunday. The 29-year-old Infieldder scored 32 goals in his 127 bats this season, which made him a first-class goal for a candidate.

Although the Red Sox have a variety of left -handed people, Lowe is a player to follow. Apart from the shortened 60-game season in 2020, he produced an average of 0.260 or higher in every full season that he played in his career.

Lowe is currently under team control in his third arbitration season and next season. The Red Sox may have to spice up more than they want for Lowe, but his career numbers have proven that he can do something.

If a deal would go through, the Red Sox would be 10.3 million US dollars for the rest of Lowes this season plus its salary for the next year. It would leave the Red Sox to decide who the team's first Baseman is between Lowe and Casas next season, but it is a good problem for a candidate.
