Great Falls – a person died when an ATV fell in Lewis & Clark County on Saturday, May 3, 2025.

According to the Montana Highway Patrol, two people drove the Polaris vehicle when they lost control while negotiating a left curve on the street.

The vehicle went into a slingshot and rolled.

The MHP says that the driver, a 53-year-old woman from Helena who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown out of the vehicle by the power of the crash and died at the scene.

The name of the woman was not published at that time.

The passenger, a 54-year-old man from Helena who wore a seat belt, was not seriously injured.

According to the MHP, the impairment of driving and speed is suspected as factors in the crash.
