Mets News: Jesse Winker probably ends up with sloping injuries to IL

Jesse Winker will probably end up on the injured list after he was drawn from yesterday's game against the cardinals with a weird injury that was originally diagnosed as the “right side”. Winker is on the way to New York to test further tests.

Winker made his first start in the left field of the season yesterday and seemed to injure his diagonal train while he threw the ball into the Infield after caught a victim fly in the fourth inning.

Winker performed slowly this season, but has done the ball better lately. His current Slash line of .230/.321/.418 with five doubles, two triple and one Homerun is good for an ops+ of 111. Winker has shared the certain hitter roll with starling marten, which is probably more time in this role with hints on the IL age, but martes age, marten, and general relapse and general decline.

The METs have been bitten by the injury bug lately and has lost both AJ Minter and Danny Young against serious injuries in the past eight days. Hopefully Winker's stay in the IL will only be slightly.
