Four children killed after the car through the Illinois building

Four children were killed and several others injured when a car fell through a post -school building in a city outside of Springfield, Illinois on Monday afternoon, the police said.

According to the local authorities, the officials answered at around 3:20 p.m. (10:30 p.m. CET) that a vehicle meets three people outside, rammed through the building and then hit another person before leaving the other side, said the Chatham Police Department, head of the police, chief chief.

The people killed were between 4 and 18 years old, the Illinois State Police said in an e -mail declaration.

Several other people were injured and brought to hospitals, the police said.

The uninjured driver was the only resident of the vehicle and was taken to a hospital for evaluation. The Illinois State Police did not say whether the driver was arrested or taken into custody.
