Jazz Sign Coach becomes Hardy for the multi -year expansion

Salt Lake City – The Utah Jazz signed Hardy Hardy for several years of contract extension.

Hardy, who was entered his fourth season in 2025-26, became the ninth head coach in jazz history and the sixth since the franchise moved to Salt Lake City in 1979. He is the first head coach since Smiths bought jazz in December 2020.

“The leadership of Will was invaluable for our program,” said Danny Aing, CEO of Jazz basketball. “He has established a vision for our players and a strong basis for basic values, competition habits and growth transactions. He is one of the smartest young coaches in our league, and we have incredibly happy to have it.”

After a season, Hardy joined Jazz with the Boston Celtics in 2021-22 as the team's lead co-coach when the Celtics achieved their first NBA final since 2010. Before the Celtics, Hardy spent eleven seasons with the San Antonio Spurs in numerous roles that performed the organization at Two NBA Finals. 2015-18 and NBA Summer League in Las Vegas in 2017 and 2018. 2016. Hardy, a participant in the US men's basketball, also worked in the coaching team, who won the gold medal at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo and the Fiba World Championship team 2019.

The Hardy, who came from Richmond, Virginia, completed the Williams College, where he played four college season for the Ephs while he acquired a Bachelor's degree in English.
