Jasper Co.'s crash leads to foot hunting, law enforcement authorities catch suspects

Jasper County, SC (WTOC) -The 41-year-old Rashen Williams von Savannah was brought to a local medical center after a vehicle was stolen and attributed to Jasper County in front of the law enforcement authorities.

According to Jasper County's office, the MPs reacted to a crash in the Kato Bay Road for a vehicle that hit and tipped over. The driver of the vehicle, who was involved in the crash, ran from the law enforcement authorities before they arrived.

The suspect was then followed by Jasper County Deputy Suzi Heinrich and K9 Dan. They followed the suspect north to the I-95, where Williams were found and arrested.

The vehicle involved was stolen from Georgia, according to law enforcement. Arrest warrants are now pending for the possession of a stolen vehicle.
