The second round of the NHL late season begins on Monday evening with all eight remaining teams of +1000 or less to raise the Stanley Cup.

This is a remarkable level of parity compared to the NBA, in which only three teams are listed at +1000 or lower in the second round.

Florida, Carolina, Dallas and Edmonton have the four low chances of winning the trophy in this order. Vegas, Toronto, Winnipeg and Washington are currently in the lower half of the future board.

Florida is the reigning champion and looked strong in the victory in the first round against Tampa Bay. So it is not a shame to hammer the price of +425 into the Toronto series.

The Maple Leafs are the ultimate team “Provide it to me”. With their core, the Leafs have won nothing important with their core of Auston Matthews, William Nylander, Mitch Marner and John Tavares.

It is difficult to convince someone to bet the Leafs to win the cup when 1) you have to come past Florida to reach the final of the Eastern Conference, and 2) It took several attempts to close in the first round Ottawa, a wildcard team.

Carolina and Washington are involved in a bloodbath. No team is particularly striking, and there is not much star power outside of Alex Ovechkin.

Both the Canes and the caps scored an average of 2.8 goals per game in the regular season and combined a single license over two goals in their eight victories in the first round. I would deal with the substrates of the series or really make specific, blocked shots for the top defenders, since not many shots should come to the goal.

Edmonton/Vegas is the striking series. Connor McDavid. Leon Draisaitl. Jack Eichel.

It is the most powerful series of the second round and the driving force to win bets in this series, is Edmonton's defense, which was covered up by his star power in the first round against kings.

Sure, the Oilers have two of the best players on Earth in McDavid and Draisaitl, but they also gave up 4+ goals in four games in the first round. I think the change here, if you have an eye on the NHL in NJ -WETT or PA sports betting apps, is to set vegas to +650 to win the trophy. Dallas and Winnipeg are both beaten and who knows how much energy they have left until the time of the conference final.

Both the stars and the jets are missing a first striker and their top defenders, Dallas, is in better form because Jason Robertson and Miro Heikanen are closer to the return than Winnipeg's recently injured duo by Mark Scheifel and Josh Morrissey.

When Dallas runs through his matchup in the second round in less than six games, I can see that the general wear and tear reaches it.

Dallas is the favorite that wins the Western Conference at +200, but I would see Vegas as a sneaky choice at +280, especially if the Golden Knights can come through Edmonton in less than six games.
