Blue sky scandal, which was picked up by Euractive

The Blue Skies scandal, which recently accepted public opinion in Greece, was again recorded by a foreign media company, this time Euractiv.com.

The affair rocked the Greek government and Prime Minister Kyriako's Mitsotakis with allegations of a triangular conflict of interest, which set the wearing of money through the production of new democracy (ND) with the advertising company Blue Skies in a media propaganda report on social platforms as a “group of truth”. The matter was initially covered by the French La liberation and the English location politico.

This time Euractiv.com went one step further and not only pointed out the details of the Blue Skies scandal, but quoted sources that some party officials already burst through Mitsotakis' successor.

In its analysis, the media office suggests that Mitsotakis was no stranger for scandals and listened to the two latest: the Tempi train crash in 2023 and the predator scandal.

“Remonizing Predator? A reference to the spyware of the same name, the affair included allegations that members of the inner circle of Mitsotaki had spied on political rivals and journalists. An actual actual rack was followed in 2023.

The story goes back to 2016, as reported by Euractiv, when Kyriako's Mitsotakis had just taken over the rudder of the Greece in Central-Right-New Party, then in opposition. The party, which was displaced by the left Syriza by power, dealt with bad streets in the middle of the debt crisis of Greece and a serious lack of cash. This made the compilation a robust team in order to bring the new democracy back to an even steeper challenge.

“According to a number of recent reports in Greek media, the party has adapted the problem by setting important members of the Mitsotakis employees on the salary statement of an external advertising company called Blue Skies in Athens,” says Euractive.

Any secret financing of a political party would be unacceptable in Greece, where parties are publicly financed due to their optional performance, as Euractive explains.

It is also emphasized that the history of documento makes the revelation of Documento's “potentially explosive for Mitsotakis” that certain employees who worked for the New Democracy are reported to the salary statement of Blue Skies after his 2019 election victory in his government.
With regard to Mitsotaki's attitude, the outlet writes: “He supported the” truth team “and admitted that it is ideologically very close to the new democracy while it insists on maintaining full independence.”
It is also pointed out that “Greek justice does not have to investigate the matter. A reality that many observers say reflects the deep influence of the oligarchs involved.”
In addition, EURACTIV reveals: “At the EPP congress in Valencia, a Greek government official Euractive said that the domestic situation gives an alternative to Mitsotakis, which refers to the Defense Minister Nikos Dendias, is not the only” successor “that competes for the Prime Minister in the” Blue “group.
