Andrea Cambiaso to Miss Lazio Clash with thigh injury

The second half of the 2024-25 season was a full frustrations for Andrea Cambiaso. You could say that for many Juventus players, but Cambiaso has had an ankle injury for months and was therefore in the line -up.

Then came on Sunday evening, when another injury suddenly piled up Cambiaso and in a game in which he previously had the support of the single goal, the juve achieved.

Juventus announced less than 24 hours after Cambiaso was injured in the second half of the 1-1 draw with Bologna that tests showed “a stretch of the Rektus femoris of the left thigh”. Cambiaso will miss at least one week due to his new thigh injury – which means that with Lazio, one of the two teams Juventus, he will be out of running at Stadio Olimpico in the Olimpico Stadio, one of the two teams who have Juventus in the race for the top four points.

Here is the complete and yet fairly short medical update to Cambiaso after the medical examinations on Monday at J Medical:

Andrea Cambiaso underwent this Monday morning at J | Medical, which showed a stretching of the femoris of the left thigh, after which muscle complaints in the series -a agreement against Bologna diagnostic tests.

Further exams are carried out in about seven days to define the exact recovery time.

The two things that are necessary here are the things that have to do with any kind of schedule:

  1. Cambiaso is out for at least a week.
  2. Further tests to “define the exact recovery time” could mean very well that Cambiaso will be exposed to Lazio for one or maybe even in both remaining games from Juves this weekend.

If this second turns out to be at least one or two weeks, the status of Cambiasos is a huge question mark for the rest of the season. In view of the other injuries that Igor Tudor deals with in defense, it is only another matter for Juve's interim manager to find out when he tries to bring this squad to the Champions League of the next season.

At least there seem to be a few ways to try to deal with Cambiasos's absence against Lazio. He has his two Americans who can play on the left wing, albeit a much more natural option compared to the other. Tudor was able to roll the cube and Alberto Costa his first Juventus start this Saturday, although this seems like a big question about a player who hasn't played much since he was changing to Turin.

It is anything but ideal, but it is something – apparently with all the injuries that are currently present in defense and attack by Juventus.
