Jackson Boys Soccer puts on the top seed Morgan County

Jackson is one of the hottest teams in 2a and pulled off the possibly greatest surprise in the spring season when it defeated 2-1 with top seeds with 2-1 in the second round.

As 16 seeds, the Red Devils were not even guaranteed to defeat the rival Pike County in the region in the first round. Pike County had won the previous two matchups, the first game 2-0, while the second was an extremely tight game, in which Pike won 3-2 in extra time. The game in the first round was another close matter in which Jackson came away with the 2-1 win.

In the second round game, the Red Devils came up as great outsiders, but the surprise should not have been a big surprise. The two teams are region singing and share the season series, with Morgan County won the first Matchup 1-0, and the Red Devils won the second 1-0.
