Indianapolis – although she didn't play, Caitlin Clark ensured that her voice could be heard against Washington on Saturday afternoon at the previous season in the previous season.

Clark, which was excluded with an injury to the left leg, was a constant presence in the fever's Huddles and on the sidelines. She delivered a unique perspective to the game and even took some time to recover with the referees when she disagreed with some calls.

She still itched to play, said fever coach Stephanie White.

“If you don't play, there is a different perspective,” said White. “And I had the feeling that she did a really good job with her teammates. She did a really good job with us in the coaching team, just different things she sees, as she sees in terms of maybe even communication style, she was really engaged. And I felt back at one point and set her uniform and played and played.”

Clark's leg injury is probably not serious. She described it as a “a bit tight” before the game and went as usual and normal and without visible bracket on her leg. Before the game, White said that they were lacking with Clark on the side of caution and that their long -term health through short -term games in the pre -season arrived.

It was particularly important on back on back. The fever drives to Iowa City, Iowa on Sunday, to play the Brazilian national team of Clarks Alma Mater, the University of Iowa. And White hopes that she can be good to go to her hometown fans.

“She has had a lot of progress in the last 24 hours, and that was our goal,” said White. “Our goal is to see how she progresses every day. So we will see what happens and how she feels like the training sessions that she went through today, and then hopefully she will be ready tomorrow.”
