1 killed, 1 admitted to the hospital after crash on the Highway 287 northwest of Denver

One person was killed and another was hospitalized after an accident with two vehicles on Highway 287 and the Dillon Road in Lafayette in the early Monday morning. According to the Lafayette police authority, civil servants were informed about the crash at 6:23 a.m.

The police said the preliminary investigation shows that a Nissan collection through the intersection drove to the east with green light and was hit by a Chevrolet pickup that drove south through a red light. The investigators said that the power of the effects had sent both trucks into the traffic light rod in the median.

The police said that the Nissan had been driven by an approximately 52 -year -old man who died at the crime scene. The officials said that the Chevy was driven by an approximately 56 -year -old man who was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
