Google confirmed that on Google I/O 2025 it contains a “user cut and user experience design” section and user examination. Mystic Leaks on Telegram recently shared a preview of the redesigned watch app and now gives us a look at the new Battery status from Android (via Android Police).

The new battery status from Android is largely a horizontal battery symbol with a black numerical text that shows the current percentage. However, based on the charging status, it will change. The colors grab more than the existing battery gun and fill up the part of the battery symbol that is responsible.

If it was not yet obvious, Android's upcoming battery status seems to take more than a few information from iOS. The horizontal, color-coded battery symbols with fat percentage information has been a staple for the Apple mobile operating system for some time. Based on the screenshots above, Google's variant seems to offer a larger, brave text.

It has a black percentage text within the symbol, while the symbol of Apple is moving between white and black text based on the current background. If you use a dark background for iOS, see a white battery symbol and a black text and vice versa. It is currently unclear whether the new battery status from Android works in the same way.

We do not know when Google's planned material will introduce 3 expressive design changes. The company has a session on the changes for Google I/O 2025. So it is expected that we will be experienced more there or in the Android show beforehand.
