Braves offer a couple of Ronald Acuña -injury updates in front of the Reds series

It seems that the Atlanta Braves Ronald Acuña Jr. gives updates before each series because it gets closer to an MLB return. On Monday, the Braves delivered two updates of Acuña injury status.

First, the team informed the reporters on Monday that the MVP of the National League 2023 would visit its surgeon in Los Angeles again before starting with a rehab order. Acuña has rehabilitated in Florida.

But about an hour later, less than 90 minutes before the first place in the home series against the Cincinnati Reds, the well -being delivered another update in which Acuña would not have to return to Los Angeles to see his surgeon.

“Update: Acuña does not have to return to LA to see the surgeon Neal Elattrache,” wrote David O'Brien from The Athletic on X (formerly Twitter). The team said Elattrache told them today that he did not have to return and it is due to Braves when he can start the rehab task.

“Team said Acuña would start with rehab games this month, but it is not more precise.”

Mark Bowman from MLB.com speculated that at the end of May the most realistic goal for Acuña would be to return to the Braves line -up. Obviously, the right field player would start a rehab task before.

The AJC's Justin Toscano reported on the same details as O'Brien and Bowman.

It is a bit strange that the braves essentially received their first Acuña update on Monday and had to revise it an hour later. But it would be much worse if the revised update were bad news.

Acuña does not have to see that his operation is nothing more than good news. This probably means that a return to the field for a game for Acuña will take place sooner than later.

The Braves also delivered a positive update of the injured starting jug Spencer Strider on Monday.

“Spencer Strider played for a long time yesterday, said Brian Snitker:” Toscano wrote about X. “The process moves well, said Snit.”

Bowman has tweeted that Strider has not managed on the hill on the hill since his last start. The Braves have not yet announced when the right -handed man will be on a hill again.

Strider began the regular 2025 season on the injured list due to the elbow procedure from 2024. After a start, the good put it back on the IL on April 21 because he suffered a right thigh load while he threw between the starts.

“It was just one of these damn things,” said Brave Manager Brian Snitker about Bowman. “You can do everything right and still let something happen what he does. It's just a damn thing.”

Acuña works back from the left ACL tear that he suffered last May. The right field player tore his right ACL in July 2021.
