Trump Administration disqualifies Harvard from future research grants

The Trump administration tried to force Harvard University back to the negotiating table on Monday by informing the nation's oldest and richest college that it will not be possible for new federal grants.

This decision was made in a controversial letter to Alan M. Garber, the President of Harvard, Linda McMahon, the education secretary who replaces the school for “catastrophic mismanagement”.

“This letter should inform you that Harvard should no longer obtain grants from the federal government because nobody is made available,” wrote Ms. McMahon in the letter.

It was the first significant reaction of the administration since Harvard questioned the government's decision to reduce the research financing of billions of dollars after the university contradicted the demands for intrusive supervision.

An official of the educational department, who informed reporter about the letter before his publication, said that Harvard's authorization for research grants depends on his ability to pronounce guidelines that are considering the breed of a student, and complaints from the administration that the university has hired its persecution of “academic excellence” while Conservative faculty.

Harvard officer did not immediately answer a request for comments.

In the past few weeks, apart from its lawsuit, the university has also adopted a persistent attitude against the administration. On Friday, for example, it is said that behind President Trump's threat “the threat of President Trump to revoke the university's tax exemption status was not a legal basis.
