Ben Affleck performs his sneakers on the dance floor in this spirited sequence of “The Accountant 2”.

Affleck's character Christian Wolff, an autistic CPA, went to a western bar from Country with his brother Braxton (Jon Bernthal). Using calculations, Christian Schnell determines the pattern of a line dance and participates.

The director of the film, Gavin O'Connor, discussed the scene in an interview and explained that the scene should do several things when the film changes deeper to the second act. He added: “Bill Dubuque, our writer, and I wanted to give up the plot and just turn left and spend time with the brothers in a social environment. “”

This leads to a moment when Braxton expects his brother to make himself fool, but things will go out differently.

“It dramatizes its mathematical brain because they watch how he looks at the footwork, and everything starts to calculate very quickly,” said O'Connor in the interview.

He also said that Affleck took part in several rehearsals to do the movements correctly: “We had a choreographer named Jennifer Hamilton, who was wonderful, and before we came to the rehearsal level, she presented me a lot of different ideas because there are many variations on the line dancing, and we then restrict it.”

They worked out the choreography with the dancers before they brought in Affleck. “Then Ben just did his thing,” said O'Connor. “Christian didn't have to be great. He just had to do it. So it was never important that he set fire to the place.”
