Flood clock for all SWLA, whereby the floods are possible in the next few days

Lake Charles, La. (KPLC) -Single scattered showers will be possible on Monday evening, but these are not a risk to our region.

First alarm forecast(KPLC)

Tuesday probably starts dry without rain, but showers and storms in our west will develop until noon and move over SWLA in the late afternoon. These will move slowly, and this makes it possible for the rainfall to really add up. The models have freaked out all day to place the heaviest rain, so I don't concentrate on a place. Rather, it is best to watch this area, in which 1 to 4 inch rain can bring to SWLA. Not only rain, but it could be some to heavy to heavy and untracted species (hail, compensation and tornado).

The forecast becomes more uncertain, the further in the time we go, but undoubtedly rain will be again on Wednesday. The uncertainty of the models grows over time and the 2 reliable short -term models show very different scenarios for Wednesday. One of them shows a limited rain, while the other shows some areas that receive more than 10 inch rain! And that's a day and doesn't count what fell on Tuesday! Probably none of these scenarios are correct and what will probably occur is something in between. But I can't say 100% that one of the two scenario will probably not occur. I hate uncertainty in the forecast, but I also have to tell you when it exists and absolutely exists on Tuesday to Thursday.

The precipitation is likely to be restricted by Thursday and therefore the rains are significantly lower. However, this is also uncertain and this forecast can change over time. By Friday we may have a few persistent showers in front of a cold front. This front brings the drier air to SWLA and up to cooler morning temperatures until this weekend.

The dry pattern will probably continue in the next week. And that would be good news, especially if we end up with floods this week.
