Athens woman arrested for drug crimes

Athens, Ohio (WTAP) – Detectives of the Athens County Drug Task Force arrested a woman after finding drugs and evidence of drug production in her house.

According to a press release of the office of the Sheriff of the district of Athens, Detective on April 29 at 12:45 p.m.

Savannah Chapman, 27, was there at the time of the search.

In large quantities and a firearm, they found large amounts of cash, various medication – some were LSD and psilocybin – and a firearm.

Detectives also found evidence of the illegal production of drugs in the house.

Chapman is suspended with four charges: 2 possession of the drug possession, 1 count of weapons under disability and 1 number of illegal production of drugs.

In this case, the growing complexity of drug -related crimes in our region is emphasized. From manufacturing to human trafficking, we strive to identify and stop these operations at every level.

According to the press release, Chapman is held in the regional prison of the southeast of Ohio.
