One man killed, another injured in Ingleside, shot on Monday

A man was killed and another injured with non -life -threatening injuries in the early Monday morning after a shootout near the McLaren Park.

Around 3:01 a.m., the San Francisco police officers reacted to a report on shots on the block of the Sunnydale Avenue from 1900, a street that leads through the former public housing complex, which is located in the middle of the reconstruction.

Officers found two victims at the location. A man was declared dead at the crime scene, the police said, and another man was taken to a nearby hospital by paramedics.

The shooter has not yet been identified and no arrests were made. The SFPD murder department leads the investigation.

A man was shot in the mission district three days ago. This examination is also active and continuous.

If both shootings are governed, the shootout would be the seventh murder in San Francisco this year. By May 5th last year there were 11 murders all over the city.

Both violence and property crimes have dropped throughout the city: violent crimes have decreased by 17 percent compared to the same period of 2024, and the crimes of property by 30 percent.

This is a developing history and can be updated.

Everyone is asked to contact the SFPD under 1-415-575-4444 or a tip with Tip411 and start the message with SFPD.
