Wadena – Community members and business experts gathered on Tuesday, April 29, at the Astera Health Legacy Campus, in cooperation with Astera Health a special meeting and Greet, which was organized by the Foundation initiative. The event served as a networking opportunity as well as as an opportunity to launch the growing effects of Little Falls in Wadena County and in the surrounding region.

The guests were welcomed with a networking lunch and presentations of the Astera Health CEO and President Joel Beiswenger, the director of planning and zoning director, Dean Uelelman, as well as the president of the Foundation, Brian Voerding and employee.

After short opening speeches by Beiswenger, Usleman emphasized the importance of the work of the initiative foundation in the city, including the recent development of the childcare center. The city received a subsidy of 10,000 US dollars from the Foundation initiative to bring the urgently needed openings for childcare in Wadena County. The new childcare facility is located in the north wing of the Astera Health Legacy Campus and is expected to be completed in mid -June.

“Over the years, we have done some amazing things for the community with the help of the Foundation initiative,” said Uselman during his opening rain. Uselman also emphasized the role of the initiative foundation, which made the local business world available by the HomeCrest project. “With the help of the Foundation initiative, we were able to put together the financing of a local entrepreneur in order to buy HomeCrest and not go to China,” said Uzelman, who added the organization, which supports the local business world even in revolving credit funds and GAP funding.

In addition to the numerous non -profit contributions, Uzelman announced that the Foundation initiative recently provided funds to support the city in the upcoming motorway construction projects that are supposed to begin in June.

“Finally, we received a grant of 10,000 US dollars to support the marketing and promotion of the community and ensure that our business can survive in the next three years of motorway construction,” said Uzelman.

Another important effort supported by the initiative foundation is the Wadena Fire Relief Fund, which was created in response to the apartment fire of February 16, which has distributed numerous residents. In cooperation with local partners, the Foundation initiative quickly set up the fund to support those affected.

Voerding repeated the topic of cooperation in his final comments. “There is no work that we do by ourselves, and that's a design,” he said. “We want to the amazing community partners how they all enable, support, reinforce and abolish them in this room.”

The Foundation, founded in 1986, was founded and has developed since then to meet the changing needs of the community.
