The Muppet Christmas Carol score, which is performed live in York Barbican

A live orchestra will conduct Disney's The Muppet Christmas Carol in York Barbican in November.

The York Barbican Performance is part of a British tour on which the orchestra, together with a demonstration of the complete film, will perform the musical score.

The original score was composed by Miles Goodman and his songs were written by the award -winning songwriter Paul Williams.

The film, which is based on Charles Dickens' history, follows Scrooges Transformation after visiting the spirits of Christmas past, the present and the future.

Kermit the Frog plays Bob Catchit, Scrooge's employee (who is played by Michael Caine).

Gonzo tells the story with the help of Rizzo The Ratte.

The film also shows Miss Piggy as Emily Cratchit, Fozzie Bear as Fozziwig and Robin the Frog as Tiny Tim.

The York Barbican performance will take place on November 21.

Tickets will be offered for sale on May 9 at 10 a.m. by Yorkbarbican.co.uk.
