The Ministry of Justice indicates Trump to free Tina Peters from prison in the social media post

President Donald Trump escalated the federal attempt to improve the persecution of the former Mesa County employee Tina Peters in a social media post on Monday evening.

“Tina is an innocent political prisoner who is punished terrible and wrongly in the form of cruel and unusual punishment,” he wrote.

In the post office, Trump instructed the US Ministry of Justice to “take all the necessary measures to secure the release of the former Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters”, and described it as hostage, which was “kept in Colorado in Colorado for political reasons”.

“Free Tina Peters now!” Trump wrote to examine the message.

In August, Peters was found to be guilty by a jury of Mesa County residents in seven charges, including four crimes, after making contributing to the unauthorized access to County intended equipment, which she should protect in the search for voter fraud. Despite years of investigations and attention from election catering groups, neither their followers nor their right defense showed that the machines were involved in a type of election manipulation.

Trump's online proclamation is the latest step in a growing federal effort to free Peters. In March the Ministry of Justice went to court to help Peters and possibly free them from detention. The lawyers of the state of Colorado have asked a federal judge to reject the submissions of the Ministry of Justice. The judge said at the hearing that he would rule after he has found whether he was responsible. Peters serves nine years in the La Vista Correctional Facility in Pueblo.

Peters supporters have tried to convince the governor and the legislator of the states to do something about their long prison sentence. The legislators of the state have no authority about their prison sentence, but governor Polis can issue pardon or mercy.

In March, a Polis spokesman said Peters said no mercy or pardon and the office would only consider the grace for his own merits, “regardless of bullying and threats”. The office did not immediately answer a request for a comment on Trump's latest social media post.

Peters continues to argue that she had done nothing wrong when she helped a person not authorized to use someone else's identity to access the election equipment of an office and to take part in a secure software update. And she remains a celebrity for those on the right who believes that the makers of election equipment have blurred with Democrats to influence elections – claims that have never been confirmed in court.

“Radical Attorney General of Colorado, Phil Weiser, ignores illegal ones who commit violent crimes such as rape and murder in his state, and instead Tina Peters, a 69-year-old gold star mother who worked to expose and document the Democrat election fraud. To cover up their election crimes and dimensions in 2020.

AG Weiser's office did not immediately answer a request for CPR News comments. But in March Weiser's office said that the DoJ intervention in this case has no legitimate basis and was a “grotesque attempt to weapons the rule of law”.

“The United States does not quote a single fact to support their unfounded allegations that there are reasonable concerns about the prosecution or punishment of Ms. Peters or that law enforcement is politically motivated,” said Weiser.

In the 2020 elections, state audits have not found any evidence of election fraud in Colorado and confirms that the machine votes pays the markings on the paper votes.

The only case of voter fraud, which was recorded in the 2024 elections in Mesa County, came from two women who allegedly stolen and tried to fill them in order to test them to test the state's security procedures. One of the accused women, Vicki Stuart, announced on Monday morning for two charges in connection with this investigation.
